Dinosaur Provincial Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located about two and a half hours drive southeast of Calgary, Alberta, Canada or 48 kilometres (30 mi), about a half hour drive, northeast of Brooks.
Dinosaur Provincial Park is the park’s world-famous dinosaurs. The park is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Alberta, Canada. The park is renowned as one of the largest dinosaur fossil beds in the world, more than 350,000 tourists each year. Thirty-nine species of dinosaurs have been found in the park and more than 500 specimens were removed and exhibited in museums around the world. Dinosaur Provincial Park has a land area of 7330 hectares (18,000 acres) of Dinosaur Provincial Park, 200 kilometers (124 miles) east of Calgary. But the park is famous for being one of the dinosaur fossil beds in the world’s most important. Thirty-five species of dinosaurs – from every family is known from the Cretaceous period – have been unearthed here, along with the skeletal remains of crocodiles, turtles, fish, lizards, frogs, and flying reptiles. Dinosaur Provincial Park was established in 1955 to protect the fossil bonebeds, a national park environment is very complex and unique ecosystems in the surrounding grasslands.

In Dinosaur Provincial Park there is also The Royal Tyrrell Museum operates a field station in the park, where many of the bones and stored catalog. Displays, films, and interpretive programs are offered at the center will best prepare you to start your visit to the park. In Dinosaur Provincial Park there are 126 campsites located in the park, all with picnic tables and fire pits.
